Actor Hayami Mokomichi made a guest appearance in the Asahi TV's drama 'Keishichoushissouka - Takashiro Keigo' starring Sawamura Ikki, acting for the first time under the role of a 'NEET'.So far, Hayami's acting performance has always shown to be in a refined manner, until now where in a complete change, he took up the role as a young 'hikikomori' drab in sweatshirts.

Talking about his thoughts on this role,"People who secluded themselves from others, the way I see it, is like this, 'If they at least could just show the feeling of trying to step out and go out, I think that would be great so that I could give them a push from the back (to go out from seclusion)'".

In this drama, his character is about a youth named Miyazawa Yoshio who secludes himself from the public where his living centers around his room in his own home only. But as he suddenly disappeared, a detective,Takashiro Kengo(played by Sawamura Ikki) from the investigation unit for missing person started an inquiry to investigate for his disappearance. Although his mother still has no idea since when he had been gone from home, it was identified that Yoshio had actually once formed a band which was active as musicians. Based on this information, the detectives lead a pursuit to find him.

Hayami is a junior of Sawamura in their company and they had acted together in the Nihon TV's drama 'Hataraki Man', hence the apparent congenial relationship between the two of them as recently shown in an interview,Hayami, not to be outdone by Sawamura (who has established himself in the position of 'Erotic Baron' inside the industry), murmured that, "Actually I don't hate him too...(laugh)", setting a peaceful mood between them.

Also, Hayami added that, "Because I myself go out lot, more of an active kind of person and gave lots of thoughts to my role, so when I tried to actually withdraw myself and live in seclusion, doing it was a completely different thing", as he admitted about his experience of becoming an 'hikikomori'.He didn't become familiar with seclusion inside a house but, "I enjoyed the fact that I can play a role where I'm very different and far apart from my very ownself", adding that it was a worthwhile acting experience. As for Sawamura,"I hope viewers would know more about these people who are having trouble dealing with seclusion.I would be happy if this drama can show that to the viewers", he said.

Hayami Mokomichi debuted as an actor in the 2002 Asahi TV drama 'Taiho Shichauzo'.His first major lead role in a drama serial was in 2006 Asahi TV drama 'Regatta'.His other dramas include Fuji TV's 'Tokyo Tower' and 'Zettai Kareshi', Nihon TV's 'Oh! My Girl!', TBS's tv drama adaption of the comic 'こちら葛飾区亀有公園前派出所'(Kochira Katsushikakukamearikouen Mae Hashusshou). Also, he appeared in a specially-made Suntory 'Vitamin Water' drink commercial.
