Young actress Tanimura Mitsuki (19) got herself a rather short new haircut for her new movie called "Oniichan no Hanabi". She’s playing a girl with leukemia and had to cut her hair back in August just before the start of the filming.
"It’s surprisingly warm on my head now when the sun is shining on it. (laughs) It’s kinda annoying that everyone wants to touch my head now, though." She now showed her new haircut to the public for the first time in the newest edition of the magazine "Shukan Bunshun".
Tanimura had her debut as an actress in an NHK morning dorama when she was 12 and since then hasn’t been afraid of challenging one difficult role after another. She’s most likely one of the most promising actresses in their teens, yet she still seems to be waiting for her real big breakthrough. Maybe it’s going to be this new movie where she is going to play a young girl with leukemia. Critics and fans alike would definitely be happy for her.
It needs a lot of courage for a young girl like her to cut her hair like that, but past examples like Nagasawa Masami in "Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World" proved that it can really favor your career.
