Popular idol group Arashi's music DVD has broken the records again. Released on October 28th, Arashi's '5X10 All the BEST! CLIPS 1999-2009' sold 73,000 copies in its second week, taking the number 2 spot on the November 16th Oricon rankings.
The total sales have reached over 500,000 copies. In comparison, KAT-TUN's 'Real Face Film', released on January 22, 2007 sold a total of 476,000 copies after being released for almost 3 years. Arashi has broken the record sales in music DVD history, with the most sales recorded in a two week period.
'5X10 All the BEST!' sold 428,000 copies in the first week, earning the record of the highest first week sales, as well as the highest cumulative sales within a two week period.
In addition, new on the charts this week was idol group NEWS with their 'NEWS LIVE DIAMOND' DVD, which sold 142,268 copies, taking the first position in the ranking. The DVD was released on November 4th, becoming their fourth consecutive release that has reached number one.
Their previous release, 'NEWS CONCERT TOUR pacific 2007-2008-THE FIRST TOKYO DOME CONCERT' sold 141,593 copies, breaking their own personal best record.
