D☆DATE kicks off their first live tour at Akasaka Blitz

Previously, tokyohive reported that D-BOYS sub-unit D☆DATE would be performing live in three different cities. On July 30th the boys performed in front of 1,400 fans at the Akasaka Blitz in Tokyo.

Delivering two sets of performances, the D☆DATE boys showcased their new single “Day By Day” as well as 15 other songs. The group’s youngest member, Horii Arata, began to cry during the final greeting due to his overwhelming feelings of gratitude. Igarashi Junji, who began to tear up himself, commented, “He’s cute isn’t he?”

After the concert, leader Araki Hirofumi commented, “We were able to take our first steps in balancing out our acting and singing. Our goal is to travel all 47 prefectures“. Seto Koji also commented by saying, “Next time we want to travel to all the ZEPP live houses in the country“, already setting new goals for the group.
