It’s been reported that singer Kuwata Keisuke would hold an earthquake recovery aid event titled, “Miyagi Live~Ashita e no March!!~“, on September 10th and 11th at Sekisui Heim Super Arena.
Kuwata recovered from esophageal cancer last year, and so this will be a major comeback live for him in about a year and a half. He commented, “During my unexpected illness last year, I had many people who supported and encouraged me. This time, I want to do something in return and deliver my songs to the people of Tohoku.”
After the disaster, Kuwata promptly formed the unit, Team Amuse!!, and created the charity song, “Let’s try again“. He plans to travel to the disaster areas to give victims courage and hope.
Kuwata stated, “There was a time when I questioned the power of music, but the only thing I could do was music. I will sing in front of the people of Tohoku wholeheartedly.” The venue he chose for the live was used as a mortuary for the lives lost from the disaster. This will be the first time the venue will be used for a concert after re-opening its doors.
A portion of the proceeds from both “Miyagi Live~Ashita e no March!!~” and his upcoming single, “Ashita e no March/Let’s try again~kuwata keisuke ver.~/Hadaka DE Ondo~Matsuri da!! Naked~” will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross for recovery from the Tohoku Earthquake.
Tickets for the live will be on sale through Play Guide starting August 28th at 10 AM.
