The rest of the cast includes Kento Hayashi as Riku, Mirei Kiritani as Nino, Nana Katase as Maria, Yu Shirota as Sister, Natsumi Abe as P-ko, Toru Tezuka as Shiro, Norihisa Hiranuma as Billy, Kurume Arisaka as Jacqueline, Eri Tokunaga as Stella, and Tarō Suruga as the Last Samurai.
In the story, an upper-class young man named Ko "Riku" Ichinomiya meets a beautiful homeless girl named Nino from the banks of Arakawa River, where many of Tokyo's most unusual residents live. NIS America announced that it would release the first of two television anime series in North America in July. In addition to Arakawa under the bridge, Nakamura also created Saint Young Men.
