Which AKB48 member is the most talked about online?
In light of the intense senbatsu election, social media analysis company “Kuchikomi@Kakarichou” compiled a special keyword ranking to show which member of AKB48 is most talked about over the internet.
The ranking was calculated by determining how many comments mentioned each girl’s name, with data taken from over 200 million blogs. With the election already set in motion, this keyword analysis may hint at which member may make a sudden jump up the list because of fans who have not yet voted.
Topping the list with 73,420 mentions is Maeda Atsuko, known as “the face of AKB48″, two thousand mentions above Oshima Yuko in second place. Third is Itano Tomomi, who made her solo debut with the single “Dear J” earlier this year.
