Osaka police have charged former Kansai Johnny’s Jr. member Daichi Nakata (21) with theft after he had allegedly stolen a customer’s wallet at an internet cafe in Osaka, reports Yomiuri Shimbun today.

It has been reported Nakata has admitted these charges.

According to an official investigation, at 8:30am on April 25, the suspect had stolen 37,000 yen from a wallet belonging to an internet cafe customer who had placed it in his room.

According to Johnny’s & Associates, Nakata had been a member of Kansai Johnny’s Jr. since 2002. However, the agency had been having trouble trying to get in contact with the ex-talent since March this year, and as a result, dropped him from the group during the same month.
