They started off with a street live in Roppongi in 2000, and from there they gathered 8000 fans for a live Shibuya. On March 14 of 2001, they released their debut single, “Forever Memories“, and then released their first album, “1st message“, that same year (and achieved an Oricon #1).
Since then, vocal dance unit w-inds. has catered to more than a 100,000 fans around the world and have had six #1 Oricon rankings on singles or albums charts.
Celebrating their 10 years, they held an anniversary live at Nippon Budokan on April 28th with 13,000 of their fans, as we previously covered on tokyohive.
To celebrate even further, the group is releasing two new “Best” albums, “DANCE-BEST” and “POP-BEST“. They will be a compilation of 10 years of work separated in two genres.
The albums will be released on June 22nd and each will have 2 versions; a limited edition with DVD and a normal edition.
