B’z reaches an unprecented 35 million singles sold

Last week, the 48th single from rock band B’z, “Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yo” (released on the 13th) sold an additional 19,000 copies (current sales 149,000), bringing B’z total singles sold to 35,012,000 with the May 2nd weekly single ranking. Crossing the 35 million mark in total singles sold is a historical first. Just behind them in second place is Mr. Children with a total of 28,178,000 singles sold.

B’z debuted back in September 1998, out of their 44 singles to hit number one, 15 of their singles including “LADY NAVIGATION” (March 1991) and “ALONE” (October 1991) have sold over one million copies each.
