“Songs For Japan” takes #1 in 18 countries

Formed into a star-studded group of 38, international artists such as U2, Katy Perry, Beyonce, and others came together and created a special compilation album created to benefit victims in Japan from the disaster.

From March 25th, the album was available for download in iTunes Store in 22 countries and grabbed the top spot in countries like America ( Read more... )

... Random song choices though. It would have been better if they actually had recorded a live version like they did for the Haiti disaster.

I'm betting most of them were made years ago, and it's not like Irreplaceable even is slightly related to a disaster. So.. yeah. None of these songs were done with Japan in mind, so where is the meaning? Sloppy release.

Nice that everyone is reaching out to help. It's kinda like how Song Nation was to help the U.S. during 9/11. Only complaint I have is that Song Nation was all new songs and these are all old songs.
