Kitano Kii shows off her “refreshing” dance for “Yowanai Umesshu”
Actress and singer Kitano Kii will be appearing in the new commercials for “Yowanai Umesshu”!
“Yowanai Umesshu” is a soda that is meant to taste like umeshu, a Japanese beverage made with plums. The CM will “make use” of Kitano’s previous childhood experience with ballet, as she demonstrates the refreshing flavor of the non-alcoholic beverage through an adorable song and dance. According to those on set during filming for the commercial, the director told Kitano to expressing the refreshing sensation more freely, which she then executed perfectly in one take.
Coincidentally, the product was released on Kitano Kii’s birthday. “On March 15th, I had my 20th birthday,” she said in a short interview after the shoot. “Since this ‘Yowanai Umesshu’ drink was released on March 15th, we share the same birthday, so I think from now on we could grow up together.”
