GLAY’s TERU has revealed a song he composed specifically for the earthquake victims through his Twitter account today. The song is titled “Sukoshidemo Yasuragi wo“, which translates to “For even a little bit of peace”.

TERU is heard singing along soothingly to an acoustic guitar.

GLAY recently donated $240,000 USD for disaster relief, and it looks like TERU is continuing to help the cause through music.

Here are the Japanese lyrics followed by the English translation:
君の優しい声が聞こえるような気がして
時々、祈るように夜空を見上げる
遠く繋がる空
君も見ているかな
この思い届けたくて僕は歌う

Thank you for your love x4

静寂な夜の中
そっと瞳を閉じて
愛する人を重いやさしく唱える
夢で会いましょう、おやすみ
また明日を変えたくて僕は歌う

Thank you for your love x4

「おやすみ」

I felt like I could hear your kind voice, so
Occasionally, I look at the night sky as if to pray
The faraway, connected sky
Are you looking at it too
I sing because I want to send this thought

Thank you for your love x4

In the middle of the quiet night
Softly closing my eyes
While thinking of a loved one, I gently chant
Let’s meet in our dreams, good night
I want to change tomorrow, so again I sing

Thank you for your love x4

“Goodnight”
