It’s been announced that D☆DATE will be releasing their new single, entitled “CHANGE my LIFE“, on April 6th! As we’ve already reported, the cellphone melody of the track will be available in advance on March 14th and 15th, along with a raffle for a “1-Day Date” with the group.

This second single for the D-Boys sub-unit, who made their debut with “Ato 1cm no Mirai” last December, was written by the musical group cell no9, of which Dragon Ash’s guitarist hiroki is a member. One standard edition and two limited editions (with bonus DVDs) will be sold.

In Japan, people start school and employment in the spring, so the song’s theme is about facing major changes in life. 4 of the 5 members of D☆DATE (Nakamura Yuichi is currently on a hiatus due to poor health) were available to comment on the song, so check out what they had to say below:

Araki Hirofumi: “I sang the song with the hope that people can start new things with a smile on their face… It will make you feel lighter.”

Igarashi Shunji: “It’s a song that cheers up people who are challenging new things. It’s a very fresh song and we want people to sing, dance, and be inspired by it!”

Seto Koji: “It’s a perfect song for people who are starting something new. It’s uptempo and can be enjoyed by people of all ages.”

Horii Arata: “I’m graduating from high school in the spring, so I will also be starting a new life! The song’s melody and lyrics can can blast away worries and inspire people to enjoy challenging a new life.”
