SPEED member Imai Eriko (27) will be starring in a documentary about life with her son, Raimu (6), who has a hearing impairment.

The documentary will be titled, “Nankurunaisa ~Imai Eriko ga chokaku shogai no musuko to ayunnda 6 nenn~”, and will be airing on NTV.

The documentary will follow Imai’s daily life, both as a singer and as a mother raising a son with a hearing impairment. Through this documentary, she hopes to show the importance of coming face to face with one another. Imai commented, “Impairment is uniqueness. It may be inconvenient, but it’s not miserable. If a parent and child come face to face with one another, they can overcome anything.”

Raimu will be starting his education in April at a school for the deaf, and this documentary will be an opportunity for Imai to reflect on the six years she’s spent with her son thus far.

The “Nankurunaisa” documentary is set to air on March 5th at 10:30 AM.
