Hamasaki Ayumi schedules second 3-D concert film for April
Hamasaki Ayumi (32) is releasing another 3-D concert movie, it has been learned. The film will be called “A3D II,” as a follow-up to the first “A3D” movie that screened in theaters last August.
“A3D II” is compiled from footage of her “ayumi hamasaki Rock’n'Roll Circus Tour FINAL ~7days Special~” performances last October, held at Yoyogi National Gymnasium. The shows brought in tens of thousands of fans, adding to the hundreds of thousands who attended the earlier concerts in that tour.
Hamasaki was one of the first artists in Japan to release a 3-D concert movie. Her “A3D” was recorded at concerts during her “ayumi hamasaki ARENA TOUR 2009 ~NEXT LEVEL~” tour, and the finished work premiered in movie theaters in August 2010.
“A3D II” will begin screenings on April 9, 2011.
