Shige (NEWS) to star in upcoming special drama
Shigeaki Kato (23) from NEWS will trade his pop star image for an insurance company worker in his upcoming drama, reports Ori-suta magazine.
Kato will star in a special Monday golden time drama “新・示談交渉人 裏ファイル (New - Jidan Koshonin Ura-file)” on March 7. Actress Atsuko Takahata (56) plays the lead role.
The story explores the challenges insurance companies face, and Kato will play an insurance claims officer trying his best at his job.
“I feel like I have the most normal character in this line up of abnormal characters (laughs). But there’s an energy around the set that everyone wants to make this the best it can be,” Kato said.
