After early closings and cancellations of various events over the past few days, yet another member of the popular idol group AKB48 had to leave in the middle of an event.
Shinoda Mariko had to hastily leave the press conference for “Tsunagare Bokou Senshuken,” a collaboration project with social network service “Serend,” just after posing with everyone for the cameras. Afterwards, Shinoda herself revealed on her twitter that food poisoning was the cause for her early exit from the press conference.
She explained that she has been suffering from a stomach ache since the morning. Right after leaving the event, she received treatment at a hospital and has recovered quickly.
This, after not even one week ago where two other members, Itano Tomomi and Maeda Atsuko, already had to leave amidst a handshake event due to their poor health condition. Both of them have addressed the health issue.
Maeda: “I’m sorry for making you worried. I’m healthy again and want to do my best at work. You are responsible for your own health and I’m going to take more care of myself from now on.”
Itano: “It’s also a part of the job to control your own physical condition. I’ll be more careful from now on.”
