FUNKY MONKEY BABYS‘ upcoming single, “Runway☆Beat“, will feature the fresh faces of actor Seto Koji and actress Sakuraba Nanami in their PV and album jacket cover!

If you’re wondering why these two were chosen specifically to highlight both the PV and album cover, it’s because the single “Runway☆Beat” was selected to be the theme song for the movie of the same name. Seto and Sakuraba both star in the movie, and they so they were snapped in the school uniform that they wear in the film.

The PV and the movie share yet another common link: they both revolve around the theme, “If you believe dreams come true, they will.” The PV will consist of two segments in which viewers can see ‘drama style’ scenes between Seto and Sakuraba, and ‘live style scenes’ featuring FUNKY MONKEY BABYS. It’s said that the ‘drama style’ scenes will act as ‘another story’ from the movie.

Meanwhile, on February 6th, FUNKY MONKEY BABYS held the final stage of their nationwide tour, “Ichou no Kuni kara 201 ~Kikyou~” at Yoyogi National Gymnasium. During the concert, they announced that they’d be holding another live performance - this time at the Tokyo Dome on July 30th. It’ll be the very first time for the group to perform at this legendary stadium, and FUNKY MONKEY BABYS had stated that to hold a live concert at the Tokyo Dome was one of their dreams.

After debuting almost five years ago, it looks like the group finally managed to grab hold of their dream.

FUNKY MONKEY BABYS will drop their “Runway☆Beat” single on March 16th, and the “Runway☆Beat” movie will be released on the 19th.
