Tokyopop to Debut America's Greatest Otaku on Hulu

The North American manga distributor Tokyopop announced on Tuesday that the documentary series America's Greatest Otaku will premiere on Hulu.com on Thursday, February 24. The show follows Tokyopop founder and filmmaker Stu Levy on a tour across America as he interviews 19 anime fans about the "otaku" lifestyle.

I wish people in the US would stop taking the word Otaku so lightly, just because you really like anime/manga, that doesn't make you an Otaku.
If people don't mind calling themselves that, then go for it, but at least know what you're referring to yourself as. :/

it always makes me laugh how north american and the likes are always so proud to call themselves Otaku...but in fact in Japan is it something to be ashamed of and are usually outcasts from society.
