Announcers Shinichi Hatori, Miku Natsume to leave NTV

Jan 24, 2011 11:08

On Monday, broadcaster NTV officially declared that announcers Shinichi Hatori (39) and Miku Natsume (26) are both leaving. Hatori will be turning freelance at the end of March, while Natsume is leaving at the end of this month.

Rumors that Hatori would leave NTV have been around since last year, but those reports were initially denied. A few weeks ago, it was revealed that NTV's morning show "Zoom In!! SUPER," which Hatori hosts, will be ending after March. It was reported at the time that Hatori was becoming a freelancer, but NTV did not make an official statement until now.

Natsume, on the other hand, will remain with NTV only until the end of this month. The network said that it does not have any details about her plans after that, but there have been some unconfirmed reports that she will also become a freelancer.
