AKP48 - The next dominant idol group?!
Click to viewAKB48 and Arashi fans beware, there is a new idol group on the block, and they’re threatening to dominate Japan.
The group’s name is AKP48, which stands for “Ah Kawaii Puppy”, and it’s the idea of “ANiCOT“, who produces pet models. As their unit name says, it’s an “idol” group consisting of puppies!
They were introduced to the public on December 2nd using the keyword of “the ultimate cuteness”, and have since received many inquiries. Now, the new generation “idol” unit will start distributing their original songs and music videos on December 22nd. The titles of the songs are “Hashire” and “Ano Hi no Kimi ni.”
“ANiCOT” is also holding an audition for additional members (for both dogs and real idols who will perform with the puppies). The successful candidates will be able to release a CD, appear in a CM, and act in dramas and movies.
