Every Little Thing’s lead vocalist Kaori Mochida wrapped up her first solo tour in support of her latest solo effort, “NIU” on October 9th in Tokyo’s Ebisu Garden Hall.
The sold-out tour drew many fans to its final stop despite the dismal rain. Mocchi sang songs off of her latest album, and even treated the audience to a listen of her new song “to” during the encore - “to” was selected to be the theme song for variety show, “Sekai no Hate Made Itte Q!“.
Released on August 25th, Mocchi’s newest album is titled “NIU”, a word created - quite shockingly - around the basis of a mother’s breast milk. A number of Mocchi’s own friends were becoming mothers at the same time, and Mocchi felt that the word epitomized the basic communication between mother and child when the child is suckling.
Could this mean that Mocchi wants to become a mother soon as well? We’ll have to wait and see!
