Rabbits are good too. Have had some o them as pets. They can be verra cuddly if handled a lot. Rats are neat as well. Very smart, and can learn tricks. But you have to handle them a lot as well, or they are nervous. Hamsters suck. Too twitchy,...

I would adopt something, but the apartment we just signed a year lease on is no pets. The whole area is no pets, so it'd be hard to sneak in a cat even. I'd hate to turn into one of those people who actually babies their pet in a creepy way though, so perhaps it's for the best right now, just let all those hormones pass. I just have to satisfy myself with playing with my best friend's dog, an awesome little Boston Terrier named Elvis.
Smaller animals might be okay though. I love rats, though as my boyfriend has a job that involves trekking through people's basements all day, he's a bit prejudice at the moment. But maybe...
