activity of the day.
today after work i went for a walk and stopped in the park where i saw a baby sandhill crane that was trapped inside the fence that surrounds the playground. i watched him try to get out for about 10 minutes and by then his parents had given up on him and he began to pace back and forth and squawk so i decided to help him out by chasing(following) him over to the gateway. we were almost there and then all of a sudden he flapped his wings and lunged over me(just missing me as his foot brushed through my hair), over the fence and over to his parents. i wish someone else had been there with a camera.
oh! and i also picked a turtle up out of the road and put him in the grass because there were cars coming. he hissed at me, but i think he was pretty happy about it.
