I think the best sentence I've heard spoken on-screen in a long time is:
"Mr. Stark, I'm here to discuss the Avengers Initiative."
I'm so psyched. If you haven't seen Iron Man, go see it. But wait until the credits are over. My favorite scene was when Jim Rhodes looks at the unpainted armor and hesitates for a second, thinking of putting it on and joining the fight. Then when he says "Maybe next time" I just about wet myself because...WAR MACHINE! Who doesn't like War Machine?
i guess this means that Marvel is going full-steam-ahead on The Avengers project. Word is that there will be two Avengers movie, the first being a Captain America film followed by an Avengers movie. This is exciting. 2011 gives us an Avengers movie, a Thor movie, a Captain America movie and another Iron Man movie. This just makes me so happy.
I know full well that not every Avenger can be in this film because it'd be Tarkovsy-lengthed, but I might lose my shit if Hank Pym and Black Panther are not involved.
