Josh Brolin should get some kind of award for the choices he and his agent have made in the past year.
First, he's in Grindhouse (both of the segments, as I recall), which was pretty well received, if not so profitable.
Then, in the fall of this year, he's in three legit contenders for best picture.

In the Valley of Elah
American Gangster
No Country for Old Men

It doesn't say much that the Coen's thought they were hiring his father, but he looks like he does a fabulous job...even if he's a bit overshadowed by Javier Bardem.

Looks like the he's finally cashing in on his Goonies success.  Or maybe it's because he's shacking up with Diane Lane.  Speaking of Diane Lane, isn't Josh Brolin a huge upgrade from the original Highlander (and Raiden from Mortal Combat) Christopher Lambert?

Josh Brolin, once an aspiring chef, is really...cooking up...a great career for himself.

If you get a chance to see Paris Je'Taime, you should take that chance.  It's a little uneven at times, but as a whole, it's excellent.  The worst vignettes are probably Cuaron's (which is surprising, since Cuaron is so good) and Olivier Assayas.  The vignette that I liked the most is probably the last one, Alexander Payne's.  It's really much more creative than the others, but also more subtly touching.  The biggest surprise is Wes Craven's vignette.  You expect Wes Craven to do a horror...but it's so refreshing to see a little romantic comedy from him...and it's good, so why doesn't he do more of those?

I'm watching season three of Six Feet Under and I love Lili Taylor.  Lili Taylor always seems to perfectly play the role of about-to-fall-apart, needy girlfriend.  I wonder if she's like that in real life.  I saw that she dated Matthew Broderick and Michael Imperioli...and Michael Rappaport was charged for harassing her in 1998 and was ordered to keep clear of her for a year.  I just want to know what makes her so good at playing a nutjob.
