GRRRR ARGGGGGGGH!

For some reason, our DSL decided to flip out last night. Shut everything down and had to reinstall some software this morning before it'd even let me online. WHICH IS ANNOYING, BECAUSE I WAS READY AND WILLING TO POST THE REAL CTHULHU LAST NIGHT! :P

Anyway, here's the first completed actual Cthulhu menstrual cup pouch. Not just a mockup. I also ( Read more... )

Very cool!

I do have a question though which might seem strange as I don't even have a mooncup, but then I've been following links and studying up so... How well would this design work for people who *don't* cut all of the stem off their moon cup?

Shouldn't be a problem, as there's plenty of room in the pouch. :D I wanted to make it able to fit a variety of shapes and sizes of cups, since I don't know what kind of cups people want to stuff in Cthulhu. :D

I just thought that if people left enough of the stem on they might end up with a sort of bobble-head Cthulhu effect... which sort of appeals to me. *g*

Ha! Well, mine hasn't got a stem at all, so I can't tell you for sure. It'd be an interesting experiment! XD

I can just see someone attaching a suction cup to the bottom of theirs and mounting him on their dashboard so he can bobble around menacingly. Like a hula girl, only far creepier. :D

ok, so I don't have a menstrual cup at all but I am imenstrually (har)interested in Period Cthulhu, so, like, if I stuffed his little body with something, how well do you think he'd stand up?

;) Awesome! I'd say it would depend. What are you thinking of stuffing him with?

Because actually, if you stuffed him pretty full of, say potpourri...he'd probably stand up just fine. XD It's mainly that he needs a solid base to hold the weight of his head up, which an upended menstrual cup easily provides.

If you'd rather he was just a little plush doll, I could arrange that too. I'd just stuff his body with more poly-fiberfill like I did his head, and sew the pouch shut. No big deal. :D

hmm. But what kind of potpourri would be fitting for an Elder God? :P

Could you make him a little plushie? That would be awesome! I'm not sure I want to hazard a guess at Eau De Cthulhu, lol. THough I think BPAL has it, or something like it...

Making this post and comments a FAQ of sorts...XD jantalaimon March 9 2009, 16:16:45 UTC
Just to have answers in one place, I'm answering this publicly: I'm happy to make him into a plushie, and will let you know once the plushie's available. You'll have to tell me which shade/fiber combo you want, though; light and dark wool have now been posted, and the acrylics will be up later today in a separate post (which I'll link here as well. :D)

Hee. Thanks! And I have to say, I've had my Mooncup for about 2 years now and haven't looked back. And can't imagine what I did before I got it, because the thing is seriously brilliant. :D
