I am happy that Mr. Obama is our new president-elect. I hope that we can get to fixing some things now. Of the two major candidates, he was the one I would have chosen as CEO for my company in these hard times. A CEO can only get as far as the staff are willing to go so it's up to the American People to hold him and the other people in office to those promises. In the end it is up to us, all of us no matter what country we live in, to make our own futures. Nobody will magically save us. There is no panacea, no silver bullet, only hard work, focus and constant vigilance.
I am proud of the people of Colorado. The dangerous and internationally embarrassing people like Sen. Allard and Sen. Tancredo are gone. We turned down Amendment 48, which was insane, and kept Colorado from becoming a Right to Work state.
The revolution is only beginning and there will be a lot of changes over the next 4 - 10 years. Holding on to anachronisms will, as always, only cause people to hurt themselves as well as those who love them. We are going to see the complete decline of some institutions and organizations which have been around for a long time but one needs to lose one's baby teeth so that those adult teeth can come in. It's about time.
