brick quote of the day:"two therepists for every lightbulb"

current project: Ill give another go at ixion when my superior arrives (thus why ixion is on and blasting away with its 5 uncovered high speed fans, damn its loud. the datavault isnt exactly quiet as a kitten either). cause anything Ive tried so far is failed. so for now, no projects, just LJ.

Bart is an odd method of transportation. I almost want the name to be more elegant sounding, or at least fancier. like.. Bartholomew. or something. anyway. off topic. this morning on bart I met someone who actually also does something I tend to do. when someone you dont know and will probably never see again in your life does some little kindness, a person tends to say thank you. I do so, however I tend to do so so quietly I can barely hear myself sometimes. before now I never knew anyone else to share this quietness-of-common-courtesy-to-strangers trait, but on bart this morning a girl thanked me in exactly this manner, and even tho I didnt really hear it, I recognised it instantly. do tell, does anyone else tend to thank people overly quietly?

so long as Im on the subject of public transportation..
last nights caltrain ride home was interesting, if anything. I guess the conductor was feeling playful. in my tired state I wasnt sure if it was amusing or incredibly annoying. there was the "we may be experiencing a bit of track turbulence, so please remain seated, but it shouldnt be affecting our arrival time" and of course "if your connecting to the airport, please make sure you have all your belongings before exiting...luggage, baggage, carry-ons, family members. In-laws, dont leave them behind, we dont want them" its seems kinda funny now. at the time I think I just wanted him to shut up.

my cell phone has a pecular thing with text messages sometimes...someone (nichole) will send me one, and her phone will time stamp it with the time she sent it, then, after some elapsed time, my phone will receive it and append the time it received it to the bottom of the message. looking too closly at the time it was sent vs the time it was recieved sometimes yeilds a difference of two hours or more. this makes text message conversations extreamly difficult with my phone randomly deciding to not recieve a message for another two hours. and sometimes more than just difficult, as last night she sent me a message at 12:30. which was fine. but then it went into its two hour lapse thing. so I went to sleep. but where most phones just vibrate or beep when the recieve a text message (as does mine in most cases), I have ones from nichole set to actually ring. and my ringer is constantly set to "vib & high". so, at about 2:30 am, my phone decides to recieve this message. those of you who have seen my room can picture this. Im just short of fast asleep in bed, and the phone starts blaring its head off sitting in its charger on the back of the second level shelf thing on my desk. between my rush to shut it up and my groggyness, my legs had not yet began to function again. it wasnt pretty. I was painful. and I have no idea how much stuff between my desk and nightstand I broke, I know at least my headphone fall onto that list. least my carved wooden dragon was ok ^_^

stuff to do now. maybe more later.
