nooo, not the internet!
So, I have heard vague comments on this, but I'm surprised not to hear about S.O.P.A. on my Livejournal friendslist. I don't know if I have misunderstood it, but it sounds like it has the potential to impact all fandoms pretty badly if it gets legalised.
It really is depressing to hear about internet filtering again. Sure, it's for the US this time. But lots of fan communities are in the US. And Australia already has enough bright ideas about shitty Internet filtering without America trying to lead by example as well.
