Prattling about 'Changing Parameters'

I'm in a rush, but I wanted to share this last night, except I fell asleep at my desk so I couldn't post it.

I actually created a banner for my story Changing Parameters, but then I decided not to actually use it before the story because it doesn't accurately represent how robot!Mark looks like, and I didn't want to create false expectations before anyone read the story. I guess you could call it an artistic interpretation of robot!Mark.

The original idea was to create a sort of peel-back version, where you could see past the skin to the flesh, bones and circuitry on one half of his face. So I actually did do one version of that...except than it looked like zombie!Mark. ;___; Creepy... So this is what I've put up instead.

I JUST FELT THE NEED TO SHARE BECAUSE I FELT SAD WHEN I DECIDED NOT TO USE IT!

On another note...THE COMMENTS LEFT ON THE STORY ARE SO EPIC! OMG, YOU GUYS! *CLINGS* EPIC ESSAYS, I LOVE THEM ALL! ♥

It feels really encouraging to read them so soon after posting, because I was so drained after posting the fic. The night before when I was preparing the posts, LJ was really, truly slaughtering me. It kept doing wonky things to my span tags and I couldn't edit anything once posted without some formatting issue.

Then I found out that even though my posts were under 65,000 characters, they were just that little bit over the entry limit. Fuuuuuuuuuuuu, and I can't shorten my fics without deliberating over each part for weeks, so I was screwed and had to split the parts up up so unevenly. :( I hope that wasn't too off-putting.

I actually had dreams about html codes that night. Seriously, I woke up a few times mumbling to myself something about span and blockquotes and a;alksd;askdlfkjask;fa, what a dreadful night.

But yes, I'm feeling pretty happy that it's done and I've shared the fic. I enjoyed writing this fic a lot, though I did suffer terrifying self-doubt when editing it. It's been ages since I tried out sci-fi, and you know, I actually really quite missed the genre. I might visit this universe again in the future. :)
