Episode 3.1
The Magnificent Seven
Bobby shakes Isaac's hand as the men exchange a greeting. Dean raises a hand from below the camera shot and gives the two men a weary wave, reminding them that he is still bleeding.
Int. Empty House-In the Main Room-Same Night
It's evident that Tamara and Isaac have been squatting at the house for a few days. There's a large entryway leading into the den, and we can see Dean pacing as he's talking on his cell although it's unclear what he is saying.
In the main room of the house, the walls are covered John Winchester style with research of the demonic sort coupled with signs of Hoodoo everywhere-on the table, hung from the ceiling, etc. There's a load of stuff ranging from black cat bones, powered herbs, etc and anything else you can find on Mojo websites.
Sam's inspecting all the Hoodoo stuff while Bobby and Tamara are getting comfortable in the room and Isaac apparently is searching for something. Isaac asks Tamara where the Palo Santo is. Tamara, the good wife that she is, asks where he left it.
Isaac replies that he doesn't know, that's would be why he's asking the question. Sam interjects the marital bickering by asking what Palo Santo is exactly (good question if you ask me). Tamara answers and explains that it's Holy Wood from Peru specifically and a known Demon repellent also works better than salt.
Isaac chides Tamara, again trying to get her to focus on the fact that he can't find the Peruvian wood in question. Tamara comments that she's pretty sure Isaac would lose his head if it wasn't for her and instructs him to check the box with the snake root. Isaac playfully thanks her calling Tamara his darling dearest.
Sam and Bobby smile at the couple's banter and Sam inquires as to how long the two of them have been married. Tamara replies that its been eight years and Isaac moves over to his wife, planting a kiss on her head and stating that the family that slays together….
Sam says he's with them there and asks how they got started in the hunting business, if they don't mind him asking. They clearly do, because its almost like a chill takes over the room. The couple looks visibly pained and avoid glances. Bobby's watching them and seems empathic-he clearly knows.
Sam apologizes for asking, stating it was none of his business. Tamara tries to wave it off, saying that it's alright. Dean picks that precise moment to walk up while finishing his cell conversation. He's talking to someone named Jenny, telling her if she's as pretty as she sounds then he'd just love to get an Appletini with her and promise to call her. He clicks the phone shut and explains that he was talking to the coroner's tech.
Sam gestures for him to continue and Dean tells them that the whole family died of dehydration and starvation. They group voices their confusion and Dean continues saying that there wasn't any sign of restraint, no struggle or violence. The family simply sat down and never got up.
Bobby comments that there was a stocked kitchen not a few yards away. And Sam asks if it's a possible demon attack. Bobby answers in a stressed manner stating that if it is, then it isn't like anything he's ever seen and he's seen quite a lot.
Dean inquires as to what they should do. And Isaac says that "we" isn't doing anything. Sam asks what he means by that and Isaac tells the boys that while they seem nice enough this ain't a Scooby Doo kind of deal, and that he and Tamara don't really play well with others.
Sam argues that they can cover more ground if they are together. Isaac retaliates saying that he doesn't mean any offense but he's not teaming up with the idiots who let the Devil's Gate be opened in the first place.
Dean takes a step forward cause that is so an 'oh no you didn't' and he's clearly offended. Tamara tries to defuse the situation before it least to a smack down and chides her husband with a sarcastic comment of how he's never made a mistake before.
Isaac says he locks his keys in the car, puts the red sock in the washer, never brought on the end of the world. Dean's clearly had enough and now Sam's trying to play mediator. It ain't working too well, and Isaac gives Dean a hard, eerily calm glare.
He tells Dean that there are a couple hundred demons out there and they have no clue who they are, or where they are, or when they going to strike. Isaac says that Dean and Sam brought the war down on them and that Dean will just have to forgive him for being a little bit impolite. Tamara pulls her husband out of the room saying that Isaac's displayed enough testosterone for the night.
The Winchesters and Bobby are left alone, trading guilty glances because Isaac has a point and they all know it.
Ext. Empty House-Night
We're outside the house, and getting a look through an open window as Bobby steps up, and closes the curtain. Across from the house, a old tree throws a big shadow and then suddenly a figure steps out into the moonlight in stealth mode. It's a beautiful, dark-haired woman is watching the house-Ruby.
Int. Mall-Department Store-Night
There's a banner declaring the Midnight Madness Half Off Sale.
Random Scene:
Bobby practically growls out that they are no good dead and that they won't be making a move until they know the score. Sam tells Bobby he doesn't think that's an option and Bobby asks why exactly that is only to follow Sam's gaze out the window and across the street.
Tamara and Isaac are entering the bar-they've been clearly tailing Walter as well. (not to sure who the guy is, but this is what we got so…). Bobby curses.
Int. Dive Bar-Night
It's the Peanut shell on the floor kind of hole in the wall place with classic rock playing on the juke box. Walter is sitting at the bar, downing a shot. There's the standard bar crowd around, but we don't really see them just their backs.
Tamar and Isaac are seemingly casual as they sit in the table in the back, Walter doesn't notice them. We get a shot beneath the table and see that Isaac removes a silver flask from his jacket. A flask of holy water.
Walter stands up and moves to the back hall-presumably to the bathroom. Isaac and Tamara take that as their cue. Isaac tells Tamara to pull the car in back, and he'll be right out. Isaac gives his wife a charming wink and she smiles as they briefly brush hands.
Int. Dive Bar-Night
Walter takes a step forward, like a lion going for a kill and tells the couple that they really walked into the wrong place. We get a shot of Tamara and Isaacs very real, and overwhelming fear.
Int. Dive Bar-Night
Tamara and Isaac backs away, clearly terrified. In front of them are seven Demons-grinning and laughing, thoroughly enjoying their fear and torment. The Bouncer-clenched with wrath-says that he thinks they should peel back the skin from their faces-slow like to make sure that they feel it.
The hooker interjects saying she likes the girl and Walter adds saying he wishes he had himself a girl like Tamara. The hooker licks her lips, dangerously sexy, and states that she could think of a thousand things to do to Tamara.
Isaac tells the demon possessed chic that she isn't going to lay a hand on his wife. The bartender chides Isaac over the man's outburst saying that that Isaac really has to learn to relax. The bartender steps through the others and lays a hand on Isaac's shoulder, holding out a large jug of industrial drain cleaner (don't try this at home kids) and tells Isaac to have a drink on him.
Isaac smirks in that 'oh yeah-riiigghhhtt' kind of way but then…he takes the jug and unscrews the cap. Tamara is totally confused by the action and the waitress and heavy-guy laugh, grab Tamara as she tries helplessly to fight them off.
Random Scene:
Bobby's not happy-a little upset-okay a lot upset as he yells that they are going to take a break dammit and figure out the next move. There's a long beat cause the discussion is way over, and then Bobby calmly says he's sorry for Tamara's loss.
With that, the man heads into the other room, Tamara at his heels. Sam and Dean exchange glances cause damn, that's a Bobby they have never seen. They follow a few steps behind.
Int. Empty House-In the Den-Night
Bobby, followed by the rest of the crew enter. Walter/Envy gives them a huge smile as he states that they know who he is. Bobby tells him yeah, they do and they aren't impressed. Dean doesn't wait for a cue as he takes a flask of holy water and splashes Walter with the blessed H2O. Walter/Envy smokes and writhes.
Sam asks why is Walter here and what is he after. Walter/Envy doesn't answer and this time Bobby splashes him. Dean is yelling now too, and repeats Sam's question.
Walter/Envy is spitting in pain but manages to tell them that they already have what they want. Dean asks what that is exactly and Walter/Envy replies that they are out-they are free. Thanks to the brothers and now, they can have a little fun.
Sam is disgusted by the notion of demonic fun and Walter/Envy tells him yeah, they get to cut loose. Some people golf or crochet and he likes to see people's insides on their outside. It's a hobby…
Tamara is in on the action now, busting out her own flask and dousing the demonic entity. She tells him that she's going to put him out like a dog and calls him a son of a bitch.
Walter asks her if she really believes that she's better than him. And which one of them really is gonna cast the first stone. He nods to Dean and asks if he'd go first-calling him by name.
Dean visibly reacts-the Demon knows him.
Walter clarifies by saying the Dean's practically a walking billboard of gluttony and lust. Dean throws a comic side look toward his brother-demon's got a point. Walter continues saying that with all that wrath its amazing Tamara became a hunter in the first place. Because its always easier to just give into the rage than to face what really happened all those years ago.
There's a loud crack as Tamara slams Walter/Envy's jaw with her fist. Repeatedly. He's touched a never and Bobby pulls the woman back as Sam throws Tamara a worried looks. Walter looks up at the woman, spitting out blood as he tells her she just proved his point. He says they aren't sins-just basic human instinct.
Walter/Envy goes on to say that while humans try to repress and deny them all they want, the truth is they are all just animals-horny, greedy, hungry and violent. He then tells them that they will be butchered like animal-the others are coming for him.
Dean says maybe so, but they won't be finding him cause Walter will be in hell. Tamara lifts a book-Rituale Romanum and says its her pleasure. Sam, Dean and Bobby exit leaving Tamara to finish the ritual.
Int. Empty House -In the Main Room-Night
Sam, Dean and Bobby stop, and huddle up. Bobby says they at least don't have to worry bout hunting the damn things. Sam asks what he means and Bobby nods to the next room saying he thinks Walter is right,---the demons are hunting them. And they aren't going to quit easily.
Dean suggests that Bobby and Sam take Tamara and head for the hills and he'll stay back and give them a running start. Sam is totally exasperated and furious-he demands to know if Dean's really insane and tells him to forget it.
Bobby backs Sam and Dean tells them that there are six demons out there-they are outmanned and outnumbered and they will all be dead by dawn.
Random Scene:
Dean's thinking it over---the whole concept means more to him that he's trying to let on. Maybe this could be a sign that Sam is totally released from his dark destiny. He comments that Sam has an impeccable sense of timing but still little brother did good.
At that moment, a radio that's been softly playing some music crackles into static. The brothers exchange glances-this is it. The boys stand and move to the windows, peering out the boarded slats to the driveway below. They don't see anything there.
Int. Empty House-In the Main Room-Night.
Bobby and Tamar are also waiting in the dark, they exchange looks and place their fingers on the triggers of their guns. Finally, they hear something, but it wasn't what they were expecting to hear.
It's Isaac's voice-calling to his wife.
Ext. Empty House-Night
From behind the shadow of the surrounding trees, Isaac steps into the open area in front of the house. He calls out for Tamara to help him---please.
Ext. Empty House-Night
Isaac steps toward the front door. His shirt is stained with dried blood. He calls out to Tamara again telling her that he got away, but he's hurt-bad. He just needs some help.
Int. Empty House -Upstairs Room-Night
Sam and Dean watch with alarm as Isaac continues to call out to his wife, telling her to let him in.
Int. Empty House-In Main Room-Night.
Tamara stands beside the closed front door. Her body language revealing her inner struggle not to open the door. Bobby gives her a concerned look and tells her that its not Isaac-its just one of the possessed corpses.
Then we hear the tell-tale knock on the door. Isaac is right outside-only inches away
Ext. Empty House-Night
Demon!Isaac isn't cruel or harsh. He's very vulnerable and emotional as he tries to play on Tamara's feelings for him. He calls her baby and asks why she won't just let him in. Tamara is clearly anguished-living hell kind of thing as Isaac tells her that she left him behind back there. And she promised at that lake in Michigan, swore even, that they'd never leave each other like that.
Tamara turns to Bobby, pained as she inquires how he knows that-because no one knows that. Bobby doesn't answer-he just tells Tamara to remain steady.
Demon!Isaac is on a roll and continues his spiel by asking if Tamara is just going to leave him outside-out to die. And then tells her he guesses that's what his darling dearest does-just like she did that night those evil things came to their house and came for their daughter. And he should've figured because Tamara let their daughter die too.
Tamara's had it, can't take anymore and she flings the door open, silencing Bobby's protests and she yells out calling the Demon a sonofabitch, and screams that he's not Isaac as she attacks him. Hell hath no fury and this woman is some kind of scorned-she's a furious Valkyrie at this point-but behind her we see an angle on the floor-the black dust line is broken.
Multiple feet charge into the house-we get an angle on five demons appearing on either side of the doorway, walking inside-the breach is broken. Four of them disappear into the house but one hangs back-a heavy guy-Sloth. He notices through the wide entrance that connects the two rooms….
Ext. Empty House-In the Next Room
Bobby is back away until he's back against the wall. He's anxious and has got no option. Sloth grins and follows, striding forward until…he stops and can't step forward anymore-he looks up. He's standing beneath the Devil's Trap that's scrawled on the ceiling.
Apparently, it's the same one that they used in Walter's Exorcism (the man is gone, buried somewhere)
