Summary: Sungmin questions what he is to Kyuhyun.
A/N: I don't know how to explain this... Distractions suck~ I hope this is enjoyable ^^

Kyuhyun was in trouble, in deep trouble and he knew it. The day started out like any other - he smacked the hell out of his alarm clock to turn it off before it pounded a hole through his ear drums (figuratively speaking of course, since alarm clocks are annoying as hell but not a physical threat to humans at all - err, unless someone decides to throw one at you, but that’s a different story) at exactly 6 AM and hauled himself out of bed. He slept through his shower and almost pissed himself when the water suddenly turned cold. Then he dressed himself and went downstairs to fall asleep at the kitchen table until 7:45 AM, which was when Sungmin came barging through his front door, shooting a killer good morning smile to Kyuhyun’s mother before practically throwing Kyuhyun over his back and dragging him out of the house.

They arrived at school pretty normally too, with Kyuhyun leaning heavily against Sungmin since he was still half asleep (“Damn it Kyuhyun go to be earlier tonight,” Sungmin would exclaim which Kyuhyun would in turn ignore because really, why would he go to bed early when there were asses to kick in Star Craft?) They walked into Kyuhyun’s homeroom (they didn’t share homeroom’s because Sungmin was a senior and Kyuhyun was a measly sophomore) and Sungmin dumped him onto his chair like he usually would. But that’s when things started going against the grain of usualness.

On a normal day, Sungmin would sit next to Kyuhyun and run his fingers through the latter’s hair until the bell rang and Kyuhyun’s seat partner arrived and kicked Sungmin out. On a normal day, Sungmin would complain about Kyuhyun’s wiry and unruly hair and declare that he would be giving Kyuhyun a hair cut after school, a declaration that never played out in the end, because as much as Sungmin complained about it, he loved Kyuhyun’s hair just the way it is. Or he loved Kyuhyun and everything that made Kyuhyun Kyuhyun, but he stuck with the former explanation. On a normal day, they would talk about anything and everything and usually, Sungmin would get Kyuhyun started on something about Star Craft and insist that something he knew was wrong (knew only because Kyuhyun drilled every possible fact about Star Craft into his head because he’s Kyuhyun) was right just to make sure Kyuhyun wouldn’t fall back to sleep and drool on his desk.
But today it was quiet. Sungmin was still running his hands through Kyuhyun’s hair, because like mentioned previously, he loved Kyuhyun’s hair, (or maybe he just loved Kyuhyun, but anyway), but he didn’t try and keep Kyuhyun awake with talk about Star Craft. A few minutes before the bell was due to ring, Sungmin finally spoke, and Kyuhyun (who was a centimeter away from falling asleep and dro- oh, nope, he was already drooling. ‘Damn it, where are the Clorox wipes?’) jolted awake.

“Kyuhyun, what am I to you?” Sungmin asked with a very serious expression on his face. Kyuhyun looked at him curiously and had to clench his fists to suppress the sudden feeling to glomp his hyung because no one should be allowed to look that cute in a serious situation.

Without even stopping to think about it, Kyuhyun offered up the drab and rote, “You’re my everything, Ming.”

Kyuhyun thought he dodged a very big hurdle with that answer and was quite pleased with himself because that’s the answer every girl wants to hear, right? But his pleased smiled slid off his face faster than snot down someone’s overflowing nose when Sungmin let out an exasperated sigh and left the room in a huff.

Kyuhyun sat and stared at the door through which Sungmin had just left for a few seconds before proceeding to smack himself silly for being the biggest idiot in the world because he was not straight and dating a girl. No he was gay and he was gay for Sungmin who was decidedly not a girl no matter how good he looked in a skirt or how he had curves in all the right places (including his chest area, which although extremely less defined than a real girl’s chest area, still left Sungmin with a complex the size of South Korea that Kyuhyun always brushed off because he loved Sungmin’s moobs- err… chest).

He gave himself an extra smack for good measure because he was gay for Sungmin, Sungmin who was deeper than the average girl (or at least the girl who would take “You’re my everything,” as an adequate answer). He changed his mind about just one extra smack and continued smacking himself until the bell rang and his seat partner walked through the door wondering why the hell the rest of the students in the class were giving Kyuhyun looks fit for an alien, at which point Kyuhyun groaned and slumped over majority of the desk, leaving only a quarter of the table to his seat partner to work on for the rest of the class period.

Kyuhyun was in trouble, in deep trouble and he knew it. Which was why he was staring a hole through his laptop screen and not paying attention to a single word his Computer Science teacher was saying - a first in the living history of Kyuhyun. He sighed and shifted in his seat, bringing his chin to meet his hand that was propped up on the table under the laptop.

“Is there a reason you’re trying to see through your laptop?” a voice asked. Kyuhyun, hearing the heavy Chinese accented Korean, sighed and completely ignored the question. And then the poking began and Kyuhyun squirmed in his seat trying to escape the long fingers of the equally long Chinese ball of sunshine he called his best friend.

“Kui Xian. Hey. Kui Xian. Kui Xian!”

“AKLDJFAKDLSJFALSDKFJ WHAT ZHOU MI?!”

Zhou Mi recoiled into his seat, his Cheshire smile gone and replaced with what should have been called a pout (only because Sungmin claimed and owned the pout and completely changed its form and meaning into something that only he could pull off perfectly). “Sorry,” he murmured.

Kyuhyun exhaled slowly and counted to 10. Before he got to 10 however, he had a small epiphany. He turned to look at Zhou Mi and thanked God or whatever was up there for the fact that Zhou Mi was as much Sungmin’s best friend as he was Kyuhyun’s (which made things slightly awkward when Sungmin and Kyuhyun first started going out because he would always turn up when they were in the most compromising positions… but the Han Geng and Heechul and Henry showed up and then it was Sungmin and Kyuhyun who were the ones walking in on things that shouldn’t ever been seen by anyone no matter how pervy and also things that gave them ideas for things to try later but that’s beside the point). Kyuhyun let a dangerous smile form on his face and Zhou Mi immediately stood up and tried to walk away, only to be pinned down by a very determined Kyuhyun.

“Mimi,” he began. “If Henry or Han Geng or Heechul were to ask you what they were to you, what would you say to them?”

Zhou Mi struggled against the hold Kyuhyun had on his hands and finally slumped against the floor. “I’ll tell you if you let me up. And hurry because people are starting to look at us weird.”

That was when Kyuhyun remembered that they were still in Computer Science class and he was currently pinning Zhou Mi down to the floor to get an answer to a question that if answered correctly would get him one of the best nights in bed- uhm… Kyuhyun shook his head to clear his thoughts and looked up to see all his classmates staring at them with their mouths open and a teacher whose eyebrows somehow disappeared into his hairline looking at them like he didn’t know whether to laugh or send them to the Principal’s Office. Awkward.

“So Sungmin asked you what he meant to you and you actually said, ‘You are my everything,’? Have you lost your mind?!”

It was lunch time and Zhou Mi and Kyuhyun were walking dejectedly around the field. Or at least Kyuhyun was walking dejectedly because he had spent the majority of his lunch time waiting for Sungmin to show up even though he knew he shouldn’t have especially after what transpired earlier that same day. He eventually gave up when his stomach started growling and went off in search of food and Zhou Mi who would most likely be the one providing the food since Sungmin went A-WAHL. But he also went looking for Zhou Mi because they still had to continue the conversation they were having in CompSci.

Kyuhyun grimaced and pushed Zhou Mi rather forcefully (Zhou Mi almost flew into a tree trunk) and kept walking. “That doesn’t help anything, Mi. What the hell am I supposed to do now? He won’t even talk to me.”

Kyuhyun’s head snapped forward. He whirled around in search of Zhou Mi so he could kill him for smacking him and then resurrect him to ask for help again and saw Zhou Mi’s left half sticking out from behind the same tree that he was almost pushed into. Kyuhyun advanced toward the tree but stopped when Zhou Mi screamed.

“NO~! You stay over there where you can’t reach me. Half of that was from Sungmin, anyway. The other half was from me to remind you just how much of an idiot you are.” Kyuhyun who had stopped and accepted the fact that the smack was from Sungmin started towards the tree again when Zhou Mi continued his monologue. Zhou Mi saw him coming and immediately began to run around the tree and away from Kyuhyun. Soon they were both running around the tree yelling at each other and drawing quite a crowd.

“GET BACK HERE SO I CAN SHOW YOU HOW HARD YOU LIKE TO SMACK YOU TWIG!” yelled Kyuhyun, breaths coming out in puffs and sweat pouring down his forehead. ‘Damn you and your long legs, just wait until I get my hands on you.’

“IT’S FOR YOUR OWN GOOD YOU IDIOT, MAYBE NOW YOU’LL LEARN NOT TO GIVE MING HYUNG ANSWERS LIKE THAT!” Zhou Mi yelled back.

“You- I. ALKSDFJALKSDFJLA!” Kyuhyun exclaimed before collapsing against the base of the tree. Zhou Mi made his way to Kyuhyun slowly and still stood a few meters away for good measure.

“What am I supposed to say to him, Mi?” asked Kyuhyun softly when his breathing slowed and his heart rate returned to normal.

“Kyuhyun, you are an idiot. Let me ask you something. What is Sungmin to you?”

Kyuhyun craned his neck and looked up at the twig that was Zhou Mi. He inhaled deeply, gathering his thoughts before starting.

“He’s… he’s… He’s cute and smart and amazingly funny. He’s the epitome of aegyo but he’s also the epitome of sexiness to me, and gives me one hell of a whiplash whenever he goes from the sexy martial artist to the pouting little boy. His aegyo makes me want to punch him where it hurts and put him in my pocket at the same time and sometimes it’s hard for me to stop myself from pinching his cheeks or doing things that I know I shouldn’t do to him unless we’re alone. Whenever I see him I can’t stop this feeling of… complete and utter happiness from filling me. Whenever I see him, I can’t stop myself from smiling, from being happy, from wanting to drag him around everywhere and brag to the world that he’s mine and mine only. I can’t stop myself from wanting to shout my love for him from the school rooftop - from any rooftop. When I see him, I want to hold him and love him and make sure that nothing hurts him and that he’s always happy. I want to take care of him forever. I can’t imagine my future without him, without that beautiful smile, without those mesmerizing eyes, without those blond moments, without him whipping sense into me. When he’s gone, I feel awkward and empty and somehow without a purpose. He’s more than my everything… He’s… He’s Sungmin.”

And then it was quiet. Kyuhyun looked up, ready to yell at Zhou Mi again for not having anything to say to him. His breath caught in his throat when he found himself looking up not at Zhou Mi, like he thought, but at Sungmin - the same Sungmin that had just spilled all of his feelings for. ‘Oh…shit.’

“Ming!” Kyuhyun exclaimed, color flooding his cheeks. He coughed awkwardly. “How, uhm… How long have you been standing there?”

“Long enough, Cho Kyu. Long enough,” Sungmin said. He bent down into a squat so that he was eye-level with Kyuhyun. With tender eyes, he reached out his hand and ran his fingers through the hair that belonged to the man he loved. Looking Kyuhyun straight in the eye, he whispered, “You are an idiot, Kyu~”

Kyuhyun sighed and closed his eyes, enjoying the feeling of Sungmin’s fingers curling against his scalp. “I know.”

Kyuhyun’s eyes fluttered open when he felt soft lips moving against his. He met Sungmin’s eyes over the kiss, noting their over brightness and the utter joy radiating from them. He closed his eyes and deepened the kiss. They pulled apart when only when the bell rang, laughing lightly at each other’s flustered appearance. Together they stood and made their way back into the school building hand in hand.
