Happy 311 Day!
Hooray! Today is 311 day!! :-D Tonight I also get to hang with the sister for 24 hours doing Relay for Life!! I didn't really raise any money, so I'll have to pull something out of my checking account. I don't mind though, because it's for a good cause.
To celebrate 311 day today, I would like everyone I know to listen to at least one 311 tune. It'll be worth your while, and it will certainly make my day!! So do it!
Last night, I went to the Wasting Revolution concert thing over at MJ's coffeehouse, and althought I probably don't believe in what they have to say politically, I must admit, they're music is rockin. They did some hot covers too like Filter - Hey Man, Nice Shot and Oasis - Champagne Supernova (i think?). Yay for being children of the 90s. After that, Kimmie, Kate Hudson, and I went out to Taco Bell to get some food (poor Kimmie had only had a Slim Fast for dinner), and this strange guy interrupted our conversation to say, "Sorry to bother you, but do any of you ladies wish you were in love?" I promptly responded with, "I already am. Thanks." Kimmie told me I gave him serious attitude when I said that. I probably did.
After that, the three of us went to Johnson's, where 2 21st birthday parties were happening at once. One was for this girl that I work with at the continuing education office, Allison, and the other was one of my future sisters, Jenilee. It was quite interesting watching Jenilee :-) She kept telling me how badly she wants to call me her sister, and that I better pass that exam! I kept trying to buy her a drink, but she kept walking away from me, so I eventually gave up. As it turns out, with 2 birthday parties going on, there were a billion people in the bar, so courtney, dan, and i decided to head off to Brian Miller's place, and Kimmie and Kate decided to go home.
Brian Miller had a nice array of happy people - as well as one girl who was not so happy, puking in the bathroom. That sucked because at that point I really needed to pee. Eventually they got her out of there so that I could use the toilet. I got to chat a little bit with Brian about various events from the past, nuff said about that :-) Dan, Courtney and I were not there for very long, we pretty much just decided to head over to Dan's place to see everyone else.
Who all was there.... Dan, Dan Stief, Courtney, Bachman, Jenn Price, Brandon, Megan and myself. Indeed. Once I got there, I was back in familiar territory with the people I usually hang out with, so immediately after I sat down on the couch, I got tired. I stayed for a few minutes, but then decided it was time to retire to the skinny house.
I can't believe I actually went out for once. It's about frickin time. I had a good time, and it was certainly nice to see some old friends again. I don't think I will ever forget Jenilee shouting across the bar, "JAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEE" or Brian Miller looking at me and saying, "So Janice, you remember the Gorilla?"
So tell me everyone, do any of YOU wish you were in love?
