Whoops
Idea came from watching the Stargate SG-1 Season 3 episode The Devil You Know. Very random, I know, but funny, yes? :)
Summary: Apophis really should have checked to see if the comm system was actually turned off before bragging about how he would destroy Sokar. Oh well, 20/20 hindsight.
Spoilers for Season 3. Careful, oodlycan!
As his guards dragged Daniel Jackson from the room, Apophis turned to his new first prime with a smile. "Sokar will die by my hand. I will command his domain."
Before the first prime could respond, a voice boomed from the communication device. "You will do what?! You fool!"
Apophis stared at the communication device. "I...only joking, my lord! I have no wish to kill you."
"Silence! You are doomed."
"Oh cr-," Apophis managed to say before he was engulfed in flames.
Fortunately Thor had decided to pay Netu a visit and transported SG-1 and the two Tok'ra to safety.
