Curiouser and curiouser...
So...on Friday the NFA went to see Alice in Wonderland. It...was...EPIC!!! Spoilers for the movie are under the cut and blanked out so don't worry :)
danaems bought us all advance tickets so we got to go on the opening day!! *hugs her*
First of all, Johhny Depp as the Hatter: fantastic! There were so many parts in that movie where he acted like Captain Jack Sparrow. I for one was giggling up a storm whenever it happened! Hatter has to be my favourite character in the whole movie :D
Besides Mr. Depp, there were a lot of other actors/actresses we recognized. Lindsay Duncan(Adelaide Brooke-DW: WoM)played Alice's mother, Christopher Lee played the Jabberwocky, Helena Bonham Carter(HP: Bellatrix) played the Red Queen, Anne Hathaway(Princess Diaries: Mia, Ella Enchanted: Ella)played the White Queen, Crispin Glover(9: 6)played Stayne(Red Queen's stalker :P), Alan Rickman(HP: Snape)played Absolem the Caterpillar, Matt Lucas(Casanova: Villars) played Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Stephen Fry(Hitchikers: Narrator)did the Cheshire Cat, and Marton Csokas(LOTR: Celeborn, AOTC: Poggle)played Alice's father. So as you can see there are a lot of fantastic actors in this movie :)
The movie itself was very well written and the visual effects...just wow. A lot of the characters were partially or even completely created with computer imaging! I was just amazed. Everyone who worked on this film did an amazing job. I'm definitely going to go see it again!!! :D
After the movie we all went to get something to eat and ended up at Hot Topic looking at all the Alice stuff. We didn't buy anything Alice-related but I did get a Harry Potter shirt that I've been wanting for a long time. It was even half off! Now I can definitely say that I'm a Gryffindor ;)
Well, that's about it for now. I really suggest you go see Alice!!!
