I can't wait for the fall. There are many reasons why I love the fall, and I know it's coming up oh-so-soon!

1. The leaves start turning.
2. School starts back up, which I know most people hate, but I look at it like a brand new beginning and I love it!
3. Along with school starting there is the back to school supplies you must get. New notebooks and pens and junk!
4. Halloween.
5. Fall decorations.
6. The smell of the atmosphere getting that slightly rainy, smell even though it hasn't rained in weeks.
7. I can watch the movie "Hocus Pocus" over and over again and not feel guilty.
8. Candy corn.
9. Making soup on a slightly cool day and looking out at the falling leaves.
10. My birthday.
11. Thanksgiving. Eating lots of food and being with family.

I'm really ready for this summer to be over. It's been alright, but I wish more had happened. I did just go to Yellowstone, which was bad ass, but I would have liked to have done a lot more. But my summer isn't over yet. Labor Day weekend I'm going to Portland to visit my aunt and uncle and go boating. And Ryan and I got tickets to Endfest, which is in the middle of September, before school starts.

I know once school starts my life is going to get much busier, and I'm looking forward to that. I got a job as an Evergreen Ambassador, where I will take prospective students around campus, do the tours, and talk to them about how great the school is. It will be an awesome job! And my classes will be good but tough. I'm taking Discrete Mathematics, Biology, and a Writer's Workshop. It will be good.

Things are getting better in my life too. I was pretty depressed these last few weeks. Really, most of this summer, actually. I have felt quite isolated this summer in Olympia, and it was feeling like it was getting worse and worse each day. It's never fun to be the one left behind. But now it's time to move on.

Summer, I love you, but please get over and let me have my fresh start. I'm begging you.
