My wonderful friend B is currently saying goodbye to her dad. She has a huge family, so I'm peripheral, but it's brought up so many thoughts about my life a year ago, and I won't lie -- it's tough for me to see, because I know all too well this sort of anguish

Seeing friends/relatives go through what we've been through never gets easy. Easier, yes, but it always brings back all those feelings. *sigh

Having to pay for long-term care insurance in a private system sucks for the same reasons it does with health insurances. :(
