Today I made fried eggs for the first time ever. Seriously. I've always made scrambled eggs, my entire life. But yesterday Mark had a really good breakfast sandwich at this bistro place near us, and it had really runny fried eggs in it (like, dripping all over). It was so good! So I decided to give fried eggs a try. I mostly succeeded...though the yolk of one of the eggs broke when I put the egg in the pan, and I think I had the heat on too high because the edges browned a bit too quickly. I tried to flip the eggs for sunny-side up, but that resulting in more yolk breakage. Oh well. They were still good! I put them on buttered-and-slightly-toasted bread with cheese, and had myself a yummy homemade breakfast sandwich. I was too lazy to make any bacon for it. Yay for a quick and yummy lunch!
In other news, I finally decided to watch Glee, since everyone on Facebook raves about it. I'm all caught up now (only 8 episodes, so wasn't too much to go through), and I really like it. I told Mark he probably wouldn't like it since it's high school drama, and he's not really into that, but I find it cute and fun. But I like high school drama. :)
Mark and I also have started watching season 1 of Dexter. We're four episodes in. I like it too! It's fun. :)
I've also decided that I want to get back into DDR. I went ahead and bought the
RedOctane Ignition Deluxe Dance Pad 5.0. It's the best quality soft pad that I know of. I considered the
hard pad, but 1) it's more money, and not a good investment if I don't stick with DDR long enough and 2) I'm not sure I really like hard pads (my only experience with them is limited time playing the arcade version of DDR). As long as I can get the soft pad to not slide around too much and not break, I think I'll like it better because it's more comfortable on my feet (and I don't have to wear shoes with it). I do have to see if the soft pad has enough padding to keep my feet from hurting while dancing on the hardwood floor, though. If not, I'll have to get a rug or something to put under it.
Anyway, not much else is happening. Yesterday one of Mark's friends from a long time ago came to visit (he wrote about it
here). Today will be laundry day. I also need to catch up on reading Mark's NaNo, and also start the honeymooon write-up, since the pictures are finally ready. :)
Oh yeah, and Fudge's birthday is in two days. Maybe I'll make another
meat cake for her...yummy! I can't believe she'll be 4 already...my puppy isn't really a puppy anymore! And then Mark's birthday is the day after Fudge's. I already have presents for him. :)
I guess that's it for now!
