As you could probably tell from the pictures, we made chili for the first time tonight. And it was omg so good. We used
this recipe (with extra garlic and onions because we could), and it came out perfectly.
I had chili at Quizno's just the other day and was thinking that it'd be cool to make it. Well, since I went grocery shopping today, I decided to get ingredients for chili too. And since we bought fresh French bread to dip in it, we had to make it soon so the bread wouldn't go bad. :)
We have enough left over for at least another meal. It's supposed to go in the fridge and then be re-heated anyway (according to the recipe), so I suppose it may taste even better tomorrow?
Anyway, it was good to find something else that we can make that's relatively easy. It takes a long time to cook, but otherwise the hardest part is chopping up the onions/garlic and cooking it with the beef. The rest just involves measuring a bunch of spices and sauces and throwing them in the pot.
Oh, and I gave Fudge a little bit of it, and she licked the bowl clean. :)
