Well, thought it about time I let people know what I've been up to.

Just returned from a week in Center Parcs in Longleat, excellent fun, although pretty crappy weather. Lots of swimming and cycling, obvoiusly, a session of 'Western' riding (bloody hellm but those saddles are comfy), and a session of falconry. That was my absolute favourite thing. To have a Harris hawk fly to you glove was amazing. It is a truly magnificent bird, and weighed only 1 pound 9 ounces, so you could barely feel it land. The chap also had an Indian Eagle Owl (more of a pet as he'd had it "since it was a little ball of fluff", and a tawny eagle, who he couldn't fly as the area was too small to allow it to soar properly.

The cat was pathetically pleased to see us when we got back, and kept following us around for the next couple of days.

Back to work Monday, but already planning our November hol, when we're going to go to Florida. Richard's read the guide book from cover to cover, and pretty much has the entire fortnight planned already. Gotta love a man that organised! We have decided to drive from Tampa to Pensacola to visit the National Museum of Naval Aviation (my pick on that one) and realise that will give us a couple of days in a motel as it's about a 500 mile journey each way. We're arguing over hire cars at the moment. We've narrowed it down to either a monster SUV (a Ford Expedition) or a Mustang convertible. I want the monster SUV!!

I joined the iPod generation and bought a 30gb one with video playback and all that jazz. It's marvellous, best thing I've bought in forever. Now it's just getting all the songs and stuff on the damn thing. I think I've got about 3000 songs on it and it's only used just under 7gb.

We've decided to go HD as well, I've struck the bargain that Richard buys the set and I'll get the Sky stuff sorted. I think I got the better end of that deal. We're waiting untill after the World Cup though, as hopefully costs should come down a bit.
