Small update about me and a couple rants :-)
First things first, I'm not dead ... I know, haven't been around for quite awhile. Work started back up and everything is rather crazy, will settle down soon I hope. Now, onto my multi-subject rant.
I remember hearing about this weird left display hinge crack thing for the 9000 series HP Pavillion laptops (yeah, you guessed it ... that's the laptop series I have). Well I never had a problem with it so I couldn’t send it in to get it “fixed” … well guess fucking what? Open my laptop on stage today for work and the fucking left side of my display is cracked open along the seam. When I close or open it you can kinda see into the display and see wires and shit (doesn’t open all that much ... but come freakin' on!). So I, being a smart person, search the google and find that I CAN’T send it in to get fixed because it didn’t break before May 31st … so what? Because my fuckin’ computer decided to stay together for longer I can’t get it fixed for free … how does that work. I couldn’t send it in before it broke, I can’t send it now? Grrrr … so I stuck some black gaff tape on there and it’s holding together just fine. I don’t need no stinkin’ expensive repair. Although, if I had time and it wouldn’t take long I would totally get it fixed. But I can't not have a computer for 10-15 days ... not during a show. After this show I start up directly on a new one, same for after that ... You think superglue will hold it together until December? Maybe I'll get myself a new laptop for Christmas ... hmmmm ...
Oh crap, I can’t remember my second rant … I don’t even think it was a bad rant or anything. It was just something I wanted to say … hmmm … give me a second to think this over. OH! I remember now … Dollhouse!

Dude .. the “if we go canceled” episode of Dollhouse “Epitaph One” was freakin’ awesome! So I’m ever so slightly bias, I love post-apocalyptic settings in just about anything, I LOVE Felicia Day, and I really love a Joss ending … an ending and a beginning all in one. You questions aren’t always answered, things don’t always work out, that’s not saying that things aren’t wrapped up well … it’s just that they are left open for your imagination … that’s something I can appreciate. I hope the second season picks up and is better than the first (that’s not saying I didn’t like the first season, it was up and down for me), but the would have been the “finale” episode was so well done that I really want second season to live up to it. I like everything they explored, I like the questions that were brought up, I like the consequences of the technology used in the Dollhouse. I’m trying not to read too much about second season and what’s coming up, but it’s hard because a lot of discussions about “Epitaph One” end up veering towards spoilers for next season and what/if anything from that episode will fit together with the second season. There are some shows I don’t care about knowing spoilers for, but then there are others I like to stay spoiler free on ... anything Joss related I stay pretty spoiler free on.
Oh and I saw the 6th Harry Potter movie ... My only complaint was that the "final battle" once the Death Eaters got into Hogwarts consisted of Bellatrix kicking a few cups off the tables in the Great Hall ... for supposedly the most EVIL group of people in all the wizarding world ... shouldn't they of killed people (you know other than the ONE person they did) ... like, they're evil ... they should have killed a few first years or something (does saying that make me a bad person?) ... but overall I really liked the movie ... I think it was shot BEAUTIFULLY!!! The CGI and live action blended very well. Totally my second favorite movie of the franchise ... I don't think anything will beat Prisoner of Azakban, but hopefully one of the last two will :)
Now I’m just rambling … so I’ll let you guys go. If you read this all the way through, I’m totally impressed. Hope to do some photoshoping this weekend, but then again that was my plan for this last weekend and unfortunately that didn’t happen. Hope all is well with you lovely f-list.
