Is it 3:00 yet?
It's my lj and I'll whine if I want to.
The creeping headache from hell returned at 3:30 this morning, and won. It has been on and off for weeks now. Up, dishes done, gathered stuff to take with me (all at a turtle's pace) and was in by 5:30, so I can bail by 3. And I had such plans for tonight and tomorrow. It's my AWS day off tomorrow (alternate work schedule), and I need to get ready for Sapphire. I let myself get distracted and think I missed most of the deadlines for this, so I don't know if there will be space for a Storvik encampment. Not that anyone has expressed much of an interest, which gets a little lonely. Cambion really doesn't go to Sapphire, so company from that direction is limited. When we stepped up, and asked for some assistance, everyone said they assumed that Cambion would help. We told them that Cambion is getting old, and isn't that all around active anymore, especially for distant events. Sigh - I said I was whineing.
Have a leg issue that will be addressed by medical personnel on Tuesday, but unless it improves by Friday night I won't be joining the road trip for Chick Flick. Don't really want to be away from home. Yes, I am paranoid health-wise. And it would be so much fun! Living with a heating pad and have some hope.
The postponed attack on the garb monster has to be done tomorrow. I haven't done anything to get ready for Sapphire, and this has reached critical. Part of the stuff was excavated for the Zoo demo, but much more has to be staged. Gosling#2 will be coming along, so have to pack him and his gear. He has to be out of the dorm by Wednesday (I think) so we will be dealing with all of his 'stuff' as well. So our stuff had better be ready to go by the end of the weekend. If the road trip is on, I can do the fix-up sewing on the way and during. I have a number of undergowns that are a nice light linen, but much too big. I've been belting them in, but that is quite unattractive. I am deluded about weaving leg wraps for himself - it could happen, but that might be insanity. But he really needs his pant-like gear upgraded.
Rorik has a boatload of stuff to do today, I hope it doesn't totally toast him. The IRS refund check was supposed to have been deposited yesterday, but no sign of it yet. Foo. He will be speaking with the bank about making our account a senior account, which doesn't have maintenance fees. Hey - take all the advantage of getting older that you can! Then beating back the lawn before it rains again. Yuck.
I brought the doll's chemise with me today to work on at lunch. It's small enough that I can hide it at my desk with my lunch beside me. I want it done by Monday so I can move on to the next step. When I drop from planned activities, I have to try to finish up Rorik's replacement neckline for his good light wool Saxon tunic. I need to decide on the shield-like designs for the circles, embroider and get that puppy on.
