New header + stuff
*points at header* because I found some gorgeous Brando pics and had to use them. *sighs* I mean..... Marlon Brando *sighs*
MSN is being a pain in the *** because the new version is heavier. *Shakes head* one day I'll manage to get back on that thing.
1. Went to a movie marathon yesterday. They showed two movies of both John Ford and Jean Renoir in one evening and have been doing so for a week, and I went there four or five evenings. Yesterday though there were The crime of Monsieur Lange which was excellent (and btw I'm trying to flash it because the plot had its uses) and The Man who shot Liberty Valance which is like one of the five best movies ever IMHO and so two excellent movies in one night were definitely a good way to spend it.
2. The Rosseau course -> BORING. Lost Rosseau > Real Rosseau. Though.
Summarizing stuff, RR says that civilization brought decadence and that man was much happier when there wasn't civilization, hunted his own things, lived in the wild and so on, on which I agree with Voltaire that said it was both crazy and pathetic, but that's another matter. Now, LR isn't in civilization, lives in the wild etc etc etc. And all the survivors are people that are something of a failure in the civilized world while they start not to be failures as soon as the airplane crashes and civilization is no more. And if everyone becomes like Jack and Kate after they leave I guess civilization is bad for everyone. Hhhhhm. At this point, I say that in the last S6 episode they're all going to sign the social contract. If I'm right, I'll laugh my ass off.
3. Mobisode #4 which is up at Darkufo: finally some interesting stuff. No Boone but at least interesting stuff. Last I expected was Juliet talking with Micheal but to go to the point, acting was good, at least no one screamed WAAAALT, maybe they want to imply that Micheal and Juliet are going to cross paths again? Last week was more interesting maybe, but this one, me likes. Most of all, the bit with Juliet telling Micheal it was better that Walt was off the island and the whole the kid is special thing. 'Cause we, right, well, knew, and also suspected that it wasn't a good kind of special, but now there's the confirm. Hm. Well, Walt > nothing good. So, mobisodes sum-up:
#1: Jack has daddy issues.
#2: Frogurt is an idiot and we know why he was never introduced.
#3: Ben > nothing good/foresees the future.
#4: Walt > nothing good, Juliet > wants off the island, Micheal > can't thing anything but My boy though at least tries to gain some sympathy.
Not really much.
*wants Boone and/or Shannon on Mobisode #5. Srlsly. Boone would be better though.*
4. Ian Somerhalder seems to have a new project.
In which 90% of the possibilities, he plays a crazed guy who killed his girlfriend.
Why do you do this to me? Why?
*goes to find the last tell me etc episodes so that she can see the whole sex-without-meaning marathon, squee over Ian, cry over it as a whole and dismiss it*
5. Christian Bale is in Terminator 4?? The fuck?? Who knows something? 'Cause I loved the first two but I'm not gonna see #4 if Cameron is not there. And hell, Arnie is not even the Terminator. How can you deprive him of his only role in a very good movie? 'Cause I hate the man's guts but he was perfect for the part, you've got to admit it. And how can you have anyone else anyway? It's movie icons, hell.
6. Finished Johnathan Lethem's You don't know me yet. Not bad. Alternative rock singers with kangaroos in their house are a strange subject to focus on but it was nice, anyway.
7. And I've got my exams dates. Third one is two day after Lost airs again. Darlton, you couldn't choose a worst time, could you?
8. Must do the exams plan. No force of will though.
Ok, enough crap for today. And now I shall go study something. Or read something. Or writing the exams plan. Or whatever, being useful.
