1) First: happy birthday cassiopeia7! :DDD I hope you're having an awesome day, that you get a lot of books for gifts none of which by Jane Austen and that you get spoiled with as much cake as you'd like

Charlie is great, isn't she? I loved her in her first episode and since then, they've done a great job fleshing out what could have been a one-off throwaway character. And can I just say that I LOVE that the boys now have friends that they can hug and stuff...it's great. I've always been a big fan of them having a "hunter family," and though the deaths we've had in the past still hurt a bit, I'm glad they've introduced new characters to be a part of that family. Dean/Charlie friendship FTW - I LOVE their connection and their relationship.
As for Cas...yeah, caught the "he's so dreamy" line, which clearly seems like a shout-out to Dean since Charlie doesn't find guys attractive...hmm. I think I'm with you on them being platonic life partners at least...I still don't think the show is going to overtly go there, but I do think it seems like they're going to leave it open to interpretation. So the show ending with the definite premise that Dean and Cas are going to spend their lives together...sounds great to me, and us fangirls can fill in the rest ;) Seriously, that's sounding like my best-case scenario right about now.
But yayy, that episode was great and I DO like that they're getting more in touch with their emotions this season. Far better than S7 and really, most of the past few seasons. So, yay for that!
Ikr? I want her around forever. I like her a lot generally and they really made a great job with her - can we have her around forever? And YES EXACTLY I just want them to finally be able to function like normal people, AND FINALLY I'M GETTING IT. Sure I wish that less people died along the way but as it is now I'm good with it :) if they bring Benny back I'm cool though
That line.. really couldn't have been about anything else? Like, Charlie isn't into men and she was kind of looking at Dean in the mirror when she said it, not to mention that if she knows him from the books she read them from Dean's POV, so if she says she's dreamy it's.. a Dean-colored vision thing or why would she even go there? I'm still not betting money that they'll hook up for real, but I think that it's ending with the two of them spending the rest of their life together in *some* capacity while Sam gets his family - there's just no way they're writing like this if that isn't at least a possible endgame. I'm totally down with the platonic life partners thing really.
Oh this totally beats S7 by miles, and S6 too though S6 has some of my favorite single episodes, and I'd probably put it above one and three too as far as it is. I'm enjoying it so much omg <3
