Okay. Just one thing. I always think that this country can't possibly get worse, and then it does. And I can't even rant because seven hours of Heidegger are enough for my patience. And I usually cut politics related post but this time I'd rather not

Definitely and absolutely does happen here.
I wish I could say it doesn't but yes it does.

Let me put it in perspective: Our country's biggest news show the one that airs in the grown up slot of 7 pm. It has a 20 minutes sports section (don't mistake this for actual sports. It's 20 minutes of football). A 15 minutes entertainment section (and don't mistake this for actual entertainment as in arts and culture oh no. It's idiot semi models, celebrity wannabees).
Then they have about 15 minutes of useless things that only stir up idiotic shit like OMG THIS POLITICIAN USED HIS OFFICIAL CAR TO GO TO A WEDDING BE OUTRAGED WAAAAAH or OMG THE USA ARMY WANTS TO HELP US FIGHT DRUG TRAFFIC ON THE COAST OMG AREN'T YOU OUTRAGED?

And the last 10 minutes are for actual things like idk, the fact that our telecomunications monopoly refuses to open up new connections for other companies and that their nation wide internet sucks and they didn't invest the money they borrowed from the state on upgrading it. Or that a whole 3rd of the country is in a yellow warning for storm season. Or that this week it was announced a cop in Costa Rica has to protect an average of 1000 people because that's how bad the lack of cops nationwide is.

lol this is the same reason why I hardly talk politics.
TL;DR: YES IT HAPPENS IN COSTA RICA TOO, IF I GIVE OUT EXAMPLES I'LL BE ENRAGED BY THE END.

Augh, HOW DO I GET THE TWENTY MINUTES OF FOOTBALL. Or, well, here it's not twenty minutes but all the sport that gets talked about is that, so. :/ And oh dear seriously it sucks everywhere. Tho thanks, now I feel less alone at least. ;) And ah, rant politics at me all you want, I'm the poster girl for politics ranting. ;) ;) Also seriously your news sound exactly as sucky as ours, except that at times we get how to teach your dog good manners. And announcers have resigned for that, which imo is just sane. I mean.
