1. First, before I forget, happy (slightly late..) birthday to crystalchain! <3 I hope you had a good day and that 2010 is a good year for you. ♥ and if you want to prompt me with anything I'll see what I can do/when I can. <3

2. Tomorrow _izu_ is coming over for New Years!! <3 so I might be not so much around or answer late but I'll be around anyway. And if tomorrow morning I end up spamming you with fic I should claim from challenges/have posted ages ago sorry in advance.

3. Movie recs! So on the night of the 26th I took my downloaded file of Up and watched it because I lost it in cinemas when it was on and I figured I wasn't going to catch it anymore. I had been warned that I'd cry in the first ten minutes, but I wish I had. I literally cried my eyes out for the first thirty minutes and then completely lost it at twenty-fifteen mins before it was over. Please notice that the other first and last time I ever cried for an animated movie I was five or six and it was The Lion King, and it lasted a lot less than half an hour. Either I needed a cry for some reason or I'm that prone to crying as soon as something sad happens or both. Not like I didn't enjoy the movie, I really did (mm, Pixar, you can be awesome) but I wasn't expecting that to have such an effect. Also because dammit, I was completely foreseeing every-single-thing but I cried anyway. Whatever. It was lovely. And I'm glad I watched it alone though. While today I went to see Sherlock Holmes (in English thankfully, I love my subtitled movies)! And I really liked it, even if the Conan Doyle purist in me doesn't want to buy the general plot. I mean, I appreciated that they solved it like they solved it (tries not to spoil) but the whole premise was, uh, very un-Holmes-like so I still need time to buy it. But apart from that I loved the reconstruction, I loved the acting, I really liked the new take on the characters, I appreciated that the Holmes/Irene Adler relationship wasn't sexually resolved, I liked surprise!character in the end and Jeeesus, if Holmes/Watson was practically canon in the books this movie brought it to serious worse degrees. NOT THAT I COMPLAIN. -nods eagerly- My only quibble would be that someone should tell the screenwriter that in the books Watson met Mary because she was a client of Holmes' first so the whole distrusting thing was the only complete WTF THE BOOK SAID OTHERWISE thing but since it made for moar slash fodder, not complaining. Sorry. The Sign Of The Four where she appeared just happened to be my favorite Holmes thing ever and I tend to be a purist about that one. ;) Anyway, it was a good movie and technically it was flawless so I really liked that part too.

4. Following my utter Bryce crush, I started watching White Collar (just the first ep tho, the rest will probably be the next year) and MMMMMM, I REALLY LIKE IT. Also, Matthew Bomer being a lead = I'M ALL FOR IT. The hat, MMM. *licks lips* I think I will really enjoy that show. *cough*

5. And since it's late and tomorrow morning I will need to accomplish things, I'll leave you with a gem which has been sort of incidentally stuck into my head for two days. Why didn't anyone tell me that JEFFSTER PERFORMED QUEEN AT COMICON???!!
