Man, you had me at the summary! The voice of your Miles is absolutely perfect from line one. Loved this, especially:

sure, she’s probably taller than he is, but that was never Miles’ problem.

and

But, since Linus is gone, Miles only has two things to do, apart from stealing peanuts from Rose.

and

who Miles thinks he would definitely hit on if he wasn’t straight and if the guy wasn’t dead.

I could go on, but we'd be here all day. This was soooo the cynical, bitchy Miles fic I was in the mood for, and I love Shannon, so I'm thrilled that you chose her as the ghost. The fact that he could touch her was so unexpected and fantastic. And the last line was perfect -- Miles' peanut obsession cracked me up. Ooh, and I loved the detail of Shannon's hair continuing to "grow." Creepy!

Gault and Keamy being there . . . so much <3 <3 <3 :D

I loved the title, too. Thank you so much for this gift, it's amazing! I'm having another shit-tastic day dealing with repair people and city inspectors and this fic brightened it considerably. :)

You made me miss Miles. You made me miss Shannon. This was a wonderful idea. I really enjoyed the pairing and their odd courtship and banter! Beyond that, my favourite part was seeing Boone's impressions of all the other ghosts, including the female Rambo, the soap opera couple and duh, duh duh, patchy. I had forgotten about Mikhail!

I was actually missing Miles too, which would be a new thing since he never was my very favorite freightie. But he's a fun character to write and while the pairing is indeed odd, trying to make it work was lovely. And that ghosts part was actually the one I probably had most fun writing, so it's definitely good to hear it worked ;) thanks so much! ♥ and Mikhail had to be there. I wanted to get the cow in but it was too much on the living side -sighs-.

Miles/Shannon ftw! That's so awesome. I love these pairings that match Miles up with a dead person - and the thing is, you could so see Miles going for it too. If he were to get involved with a woman, I could imagine him opting for a ghost rather than a living woman; he seems a little inept at dealing with the living.
