I’m so happy to have someone to chat about The Wire with. Maybe we will pull more people on board.

Greggs is awesome and continues to be awesome even when she is less than awesome. That comment will makes sense later. I wish I could be as cool and collective as her. I so love her eyes.

Sniff Wallace. He just didn't belong in the 'game' and paid for it with his life. It killed me how he took care of all those kids. Whose going to look out for them now?

Bubs (and his sister, sponsor, and Johnny and all his demons) reigns in the show’s humanity. Even though he is an unlikely candidate, to me he is the audience's perspective, a regular guy fallen through the cracks, up against a city who just doesn't care. It must be fun to see Earle in his role!

Uhm, the mother of the D'Angelo kid makes the pre Lost finale Margo Shephard look like the mom from Guess who's coming to dinner. Just let me say that.Well, let's just say there's a mom who comes in season 4 that makes D'Angelo's mom look like Mrs. Reyes ( ... )

Oh, even if it felt off I think Mr. Irish's flashing smile would be even more than enough to make me keep up. And well, I won't be the one complaining about his accent. He's the only one that I understand almost completely.

Let's really hope to pull someone else! That's such a good show, thank you so much for all that promoting because it totally worked.

God I wish I could be like her too. She's just great.

*sniffs over Wallace again* God he just was too good for that. Clearly it was the only one I really liked from that side of the fence. That was just so painful.

It must be fun to see Earle in his role!Yes, yes and yes. Exactly what I think completely appeals me about him/them. And God, Earle makes me ridiculously amused. I shouldn't because it's a serious role but I can't help that ( ... )

So it isn't so odd that I've actually almost slashed them once or twice?

So true. They actually have the slashiest conversation ever very soon.

My favourite critic is a huge Wire fan and is going back to review each episode starting with season one and he has two entries, one for people who have seen it all and one for newbies who won't be spoiled. Plus he has great Lost reviews too.

Sure! Well, if I had to be very straight to the point, is about some policemen working in Baltimore and focusing on different aspects of the city in five different season. I mean, S1 was about drug trade (and is the only one I've seen up to now), S2 is about the port quarters, four is about school system and I can't recall the other two right now, but it's not just about the police, it's also about the other people on the opposite side and it has a shitload of terrific characters. It's extremely good and well written, it has already made me miserable three times in one season, it has some very strong female characters and the acting is terrific. Also, there's quite some eye candy worth of checking out (see guy in my icon) and while it takes some memory effort because it has a damn huge cast and you have to watch at least three episodes to get into it fully, it's really excellent. I can't wait to see the other four seasons.
